I’ve been lax on updating my website. Over the course of the last year, I’ve helped a group of San Francisco’s best chefs raise over $1 million for the Japanese Red Cross to aid the region we visited, gotten married, and begun working as the production editor at Yoga Journal magazine. Whew!

I’ve been asked to book the San Francisco mixology talent for culinary bad-boy Michael Hebb’s latest venture. I’ll be flying up to Seattle at the end of the month to participate in Drinking Lessons with Neyah White and Duggan McDonnell.

For the next six weeks, every Tuesday I’ll be opening my big mouth on on 7×7’s “Bits and Bites” blog. Topics will vary but will always have to do with “how to be a better diner.”

I’ve been invited by the Japanese government on a culinary tour of Miyagi prefecture. I’ll be the media person documenting our experience: the group includes San Francisco chefs Shotaro Kamio (Yoshi’s), Ravi Kapur (Boulevard), Bruce Hill (Bix and Picco), Staffan Tarje (Perbacco), and Paul Canales (Oliveto). We are going to eat So. Much. Food. I’ll be blogging about it on Restaurant Girl Speaks.

Branching out into books: I’m one of the contributing authors to The Bicycle Book of Wit, Wisdom, and Wanderings, edited by Jim Joyce of the Bicycle Exchange. The book will be published at the end of the year. Visit the book’s website for tour jazz.
